ok.. now CRANK UP SONG #1
C'mon C'mon by the Von Bondies

********************************************
This is the song that she envisioned
Travis walking in to the first scene..
the
 FIGHT SCENE
where they first see each other…

What do you think about this choice of song?
Can you visualize it??!!
I have chills. J
*******************************************
Excerpt from their first meeting...

Travis turned, and for a moment I thought he had dodged another blow, but he made a complete circle, crashing his elbow straight into the center of Marek's nose. Blood sprayed my face, and splattered down the front of my cardigan. Marek fell to the concrete floor with a thud, and for a brief moment the room was completely silent...

Abby in her pink cardigan covered with blood spatter…
What did you think??
Were you hooked?
Disgusted?
***********************************************

AND THEN...

...A pair of heavy black boots stepped in front of me, diverting my attention to the floor. My eyes traveled upward; jeans spattered with blood, a set of finely chiseled abs, a bare, tattoed chest drenched in sweat, and finally a pair of warm, brown eyes. I was shoved from behind, and Travis caught me by the arm before I fell forward.
“Hey! Back up off her!” Travis frowned, shoving anyone who came near me. His stern expression melted into a smile at the sight of my shirt, and then he dabbed my face with a towel. “Sorry about that, Pidgeon.”

How did YOU respond to the opening scenes??

First off - WOW, what an AWESOME playlist!!
I didn't have a song in my head during the first scene, but I did picture the sizzle and sexual tension between Abby and Travis as soon as he looked at her. One of those "the look between them" moments. But wowza, was I hooked from that moment.

LOVE the music for this scene....so perfect.

I wasn't hooked from this first scene just because I was confused about Abby...trying to figure out her story because it was obvious there was a lot more to her than just what the cardigan said. But I love how Alpha Travis is in trying to protect her here.....it sets the tone for him perfectly! smiles....

I think Jamie's song choice for this scene is just right. As soon as I turned it on... I could "see" Travis walking out into the crush of people... ready to fight... Abby on her tiptoes peering over the crowd... wanting to get a better view... working her way to the front... and then whammo... the bloodshed. :) Yep. I was sold as soon as he protected her... and right after I read his physical description. Bad boys covered in tattoos... yes, please! I knew I needed to find out more...

I was hooked from the beginning. I thought Abby was brave to go upt o the front by herself...made me wonder if I would have done that...I am still not sure...but I know I would have loved the excitement and the thrill!

LOOOVE that song so much! It reminds me the show Rescue Me and my hot Dennis Leary <3 Oh yeah...back to the book:) I thought it was a perfect song for the scene, definitely fits!
The scene where Abby gets bloody was awesome, it showed how strong she was. I thought the opening scenes were perfect and definitely hooked me!

I rather love the pink cardigan with blood. I think it was her old life coming out to cover her new life. I was hooked. I liked the opening scene too. I thought it was interesting.

I love it when author have play lists, it kind of helps to set a mood. When Abby was at the fight, I was still trying to figure her out. I was curious why she would dress so feminine, and try to get to the front of the fight circle.

I was definitely hooked- I had to find out more about a girl in a pink cardigan at a fight like that. lol I don't know about all the blood- but the tension and excitement were all there. :)
