Well, it's July! You know what that means? We're moving on to a new book! This month, Brittany is our hostess with the mostess! I'm really looking forward to this book, it looks so fun:) Click on the picture to go to the Amazon link!
Synopsis from Amazon.com:
"To whom the fat rolls…I'm tired of books where a self-loathing heroine is teased to the point where she starves herself skinny in hopes of a fabulous new life. And I hate the message that women can't possibly be happy until we all fit into our skinny jeans. I don't find these stories uplifting; they make me want to hug these women and take them out for fizzy champagne drinks and cheesecake and explain to them that until they figure out their insides, their outsides don't matter. Unfortunately, being overweight isn't simply a societal issue that can be fixed with a dose healthy of positive self-esteem. It’s a health matter, and here on the eve of my fortieth year, I've learned I have to make changes so I don't, you know, die. Because what good if finally being able to afford a pedicure if I lose a foot to adult onset diabetes?"
Sounds cute, no? I can't wait to read this one! Get started girls, discussions start in a couple weeks! Or whenever Brittany decides, lol! No rules here!;)

Everyone keeps telling me that this book is hysterical, so it sounds like a perfect summer read to me! Plus, I'm a bit biased~for those of you who don't know, Brittany is my sweet daughter and BFF. :) Happy reading!
Anyone even REMOTELY related to my Vicki is a KEEPER in my book:) <3
Aww...you're so sweet! But you might want to meet a few of my relatives before you decide that! LOL
I have this one in my TBR pile...will be reading it SOON! I think that it's going to be fun! smiles...
It's hysterical!! I finished it a couple of days ago.
Thanks for hosting Brittany!!
Hi everyone! Sorry I've been MIA for the first few months...I totally overestimated the time I would have to read while working and going to grad school. But I'm a teacher, andit's summer vacation now, so Chick Lits, here I come!! I'm really excited about the book. It comes highly recommended from several friends (one of whom is an English teacher and has never steered me wrong!). So far, it has me cracking up! Talk to you all soon!
And thanks, Amber, but my mom is right. We have a few stand-outs in the family. :-) Luckily, I am basically a carbon copy of my mom, so I think I'm in the right place!
