Let the chat begin!

Ooops...I accidentally posted this on my own blog which made no sense! Haha, oh well.

Sorry it has taken me so long to get to this...I just got back from D.C. last night! Anyway, I wanted to start with a "no-spoilers" question in case some people haven't finished yet. So...

What did you think about Jen? Did you love her? Hate her? Want to grab a margarita with her? Did you connect with her? Relate to her?

I totally loved her. I've been on the diet thing and can totally relate with her. I'd have margarita's with her anytime. She cracked me up the whole way through the book and the things she say's out loud totally unbelievable, but made me love her all the more.

I loved her banter with her trainer! She totally said the things most of think but don't say. Being a life-long dieter myself, I could totally relate to the whole "waking up one day and realizing I am FAT" thing. (Except for me, it's the "waking up and realizing I am FAT...AGAIN" thing.) She inspired me to get my lazy butt off the couch and exercise. Yet I kept sitting her reading the book. And now I am sitting her blogging, LOL. One of her quirks really made me laugh: she celebrated weight losses by eating bad food! My hubby and I went on WW a few years ago, and we totally did that! And I totally felt her pain when she would be really good on her eating plan and exercise and still not lose weight. I've been there and done that a million times.

I totally had mixed feelings about her. Sometimes I thought she was hilarious, and other times I thought she was sooooo whiny! But then again, she was on a diet, so I am sympathetic. I really love her husband though, he was so funny and so patient!

I'm with Britt, I found her a bit whiny too. Until she started working out with her trainer, I just wanted to yell at her, "Get off your assteau and do something physical!" (Totally love that word, by the way!) I didn't always relate to her, but I've known people a lot like her, and she had me rooting for her the whole way. I would totally go for drinks with her because I think she would have me in stitches the whole time!
