May Book--Barefoot by Elin Hilderbrand

Hey chicks! It's May and that means we're movin' on to a new book! This month, we're putting all things paranormal on the backburner and we're going to read this book about three women and the struggles they find themselves in...

Synopsis, from Barnesandnoble.com

It's summer on Nantucket, and as the season begins, three
women arrive at the local airport, observed by Josh, a local
boy, home from college. Burdened with small children,
unwieldy straw hats, and some obvious emotional issues,
the women—two sisters and one friend—make their way to
the sisters' tiny cottage, inherited from an aunt. They're all
trying to escape from something: Melanie, after seven failed
in-vitro attempts, discovered her husband's infidelity and
then her own pregnancy; Brenda embarked on a passionate
affair with an older student that got her fired from her
prestigious job as a professor in New York; and her sister
Vickie, mother to two small boys, has been diagnosed with
cancer. Soon Josh is part of the chaotic household, acting
as babysitter, confidant, and, eventually, something
more, while the women confront their pasts and map out
their futures.

Kristy is our Hostess this month and I'm excited to read this one:)

Has everyone started reading this yet? I'm just finishing "To Tame a Highland Warrior" by KMM (OMG LOVING IT!) and then I'll be starting it! Can't wait to start our discussion again:) Let's chat, what are you reading right now? Anyone care to share a picture of their TBR pile??? I'll post mine tomorrow, but a fair warning, it consists of Barefoot and the rest of the Highlander books, lol!

Toodles!
Amber

I read the first few pages and then my BDB book arrived and have been into them since. I am going to TRY and read it in between. But I am so addicted to the BDB series at the moment, hehe!

But something lite and different will be a good read.

I'll start reading it this weekend. I haven't read much lately, GASP! But I was busy vacationing in the Caribbean with my sweetheart (I know, I know~poor me!) and never read a single book which is totally out of character for me. But he was just so darned handsome I couldn't take my eyes off of him! :)

I have mine ordered. It was supposed to ship yesterday so hopefully, I will be starting it soon. BTW, B&N had it on sale for $4 plus some change...a pretty good price!

Today's the day that I take my TBR Thursday photo so I will link y'all up once I have it up. I was going to take a Highland break this week, but I may re-think that...LOVE those books! Grimm's is awesome, isn't it Amber?! I am still working my way through the Midnight Breed series too...#5 is next.

I'm just going to buy it on my Nook, even though it's 6 bucks more, instant gratification and all;)

I can't get ENOUGH of Grimm! I didn't think he was all that in the first book, but he has stolen my heart! I'm almost done, 30 more pages...

I still need to read #2 of MB, but I really want more of my sexy highlanders:)

I just finished Dead Reckoning (Sookie Stackhouse #11) and really liked it. Reading has slowed down for me a little we're in the middle of buying a house right now...I'll probably have a book or two in between before I start Barefoot, I like to read the one for the club right before we discuss it so it's fresh on my brain :)

Hi Heather! Welcome!

I'm going to start Barefoot next. I just finished a book for my local book club last night. I wanted to do that first since we meet on Thurs. I can't want to get started on Barefoot though! I already bought it and it's sitting on the shelf waiting for me.
