50 Shades of Grey #5

1. How do you feel about Christian taking Ana's virginity?

2. What do you think about the rest of the sex in the book?

3. Do you think that this book is as spicy as people say?  Does it live up the the hype in this aspect?

1 - well she gave it up pretty easily...he didn't have to take it, HA!
2 - the rest of the sex was a little bit much for a girl (Ana) who just started having it...in my eyes anyway, I really hope it's not the way young girls jump right into things...Also, I started to skip past the sex pages by the end because it was mostly the same over and over and over and over.
3 - I didn't really read or hear any hype besides one person at work before I started reading, I've learned more about the hype since reading it. It's definitely spicy!

1. LOL Jimmi! I agree I think she gave it up pretty easy for a girl who's held on to it that long.
2. meh..it was kind of hot in places- I guess I don't get that turned on by someone doing something they aren't comfortable with and throughout the whole thing I never got the impression that Ana really wanted sex the way she got it except maybe the scene where she was in control.

1. I HATE it! I hate hate hate it. I mean, I guess she was willing but I feel like he didn't give her any choice. I feel like he should have walked away when she told him. MOST women get very attached to the man they lose their virginity to and it kills me that her virginity was given up like that. I mean, if she had had sex ONCE with a prom date or ANYTHING, I would have felt better about it.

2. I think it's ok. I mean, some of it had a very nice effect on me. It wasn't that shocking to me, probably because I'm used to erotic romance.

3. I really don't think so. I think most people who are reading this have no experience in romance so when they talk about it being the HOTTEST book ever, I think that's why.

1. Ugh. Virgins. Okay I have no problem with virgins, I just don't like them in romance books, lol! I thought the same as Amy, Christian TOTALLY should have walked away once Ana told him she was a virgin. For someone looking for what he was looking for, why would he even consider a virgin? Maybe because being so new, she'd be a good sub? I don't know, it just didn't sit well with me. I hate reading about virgin sex, it's so "meh".

2. It was okay, definately not the hottest thing I've ever read. I'm more interested in the development of their relationship and finding out what hapened in Christian's past. I know the authors to read when I want good sex, lol

3. No. I don't think it's as spicy as people say. Most of the women reading this are probably used to Nora Roberts or Danielle Steele and then BAM! Read something with a little skin and get all in a tizzy. I was at B&N today and literally a QUARTER of the romance aisle was FILLED with this trilogy. I've never seen anything like it, it was good but DANG! Not THAT good, lol!

1. I mean really... wasn't it time SOMEONE did? Being a virgin at her age.. seems a bit too old fashioned... the author could have given her a few experiences in the past.. as Ashley mentioned.

2. The sex was hot... certain scenes or actions I really liked.. others, not so much. It did seem repetitive... or there was a lot of it... I like a substantial amount of storyline along with the sex scenes.

3. I think this book is much spicier than most people read... I've suggested it to lots of my friends and co-workers... I also gave them a heads up that it's no Nicholas Sparks love story... I know that some of them will be shocked or offended by Christian and his lifestyle.
Does it live up to the hype? I think for the average reader.. Yes... for some of us Chicks in this club... not so much. :)
